Ol' Skool DJ ... (& Country too!)
It was 1977 when a 15 year old kid started running discotheques in pubs and clubs across Melbourne. A couple of years later, that kid got his first full-time job as a radio broadcaster. A by-product of this job was that the kid was required to play what he perceived as very old songs by 'has been' artists from the 1940's onward. What that kid didn't realise then was that he was learning about the history of contemporary music. He naturally developed his knowledge over the ensuing years ... That kid ... several decades later ... is still running that same business... That kid is The Boogie Man!
'DJ'ing has changed and now it's about mixing computer beats and pressing a few buttons which is fine for kids ... but...
What about the 'grown-ups'?
What about the people who remember Countdown, GTK, Sounds Unlimited and the launch of MTV?
What about those who remember that fantastic black plastic? (Vinyl records!)
The Boogie Man is bringing it all back! ALL your Ol' Skool favourites from Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, The Beatles, The Byrds, The Seekers, Johnny O'Keefe all the way through the 60's, 70's, 80's and sneaking into the 90's. He's like a living K-Tel library!
If you're a country music fan then The Boogie Man has got you covered too ...
